concerned about political prisoners, but we try to talk about prisons, in a general

September 1999, two days before the official date of his execution, Anthony Porter,
black american, sentenced to death for a double murder comitted in 1982, was released
on watch. 5 students in journalism from the Northwestern University proved after
the inquiry that Anthony was innocent and during the prosecution, the only witness
against him had been under pressure.
In the U.S.A., since the restoration of Death Penalty in 1977, over 500 persons
have been executed, after being sentenced to death.
